Party Snack Ideas -- Descendants Apple Dipping Station

What a great idea for Descendants themed parties: an apple dipping station! Your party guests will have so much fun creating their very own sweet snacks, and with so many dipping options, there's something for everyone! This party snack station is super easy to put together and customize for your favorite Descendants characters.



What you'll need:


  • Red apples
  • Melting chocolate for dipping (white, milk, and dark)
  • Caramel dip (1 bag of caramels and 1 5oz can of evaporated milk)
  • Chopped cashews or peanuts
  • Shredded coconut
  • Sprinkles (choose colors to match your favorite Descendants characters: blue, white, green, black, and silver for Evie or red, white, and black for Carlos, etc.)

Party Snack Ideas - Frozen Olaf Ice Cream Treats

Do you wanna eat a snowman? These Frozen Olaf ice cream treats are a great idea for Frozen themed parties (or any time really). They're the perfect mix of smooth creamy ice cream, crunchy cookies, and chocolatey goodness -- your party guests will absolutely love them! Plus, they're easy to make, and super cute!

  • 1/3 stick butter
  • 1 egg
  • Hot fudge
  • Heart cookie cutter

Party Snack Ideas - Minion Cupcakes

Having a Minions themed party? Here's another great idea for your snack table from Nerdy Nummies. These Minion cupcakes are super easy to make, and they're oh-so-cute!


What you'll need:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled)
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (about 4 ripe bananas)
  • 2 large eggs
  • Twinkies (one package will make 4 cupcakes)
  • Smarties
  • Black decorating icing
  • White creamy frosting
  • Blue food coloring
Use Martha Stewart's Banana Cupcake recipe to make the base, then follow along with Rosanna to "Minionize" them. :)

Party Snack Ideas: Mickey or Minnie Mouse Cupcakes

Minnie and Mickey have always been a huge favorite for birthday parties, and Disney Family has a great idea for your snack table: Mickey or Minnie cupcakes!



What you'll need:

  • Your favorite cupcake mix
  • Vanilla frosting
  • Red or pink food dye
  • Red or pink sprinkles
  • Chocolate sandwich cookies 
  • Mini chocolate sandwich cookies 
  • Yellow or white chocolate-covered candies

Party Snack Ideas: "Snowflake" Pretzel Snacks

These "Snowflake" pretzel snacks are a great idea for Frozen themed parties, and using only two ingredients (three if you use sugar or sprinkles), they're super easy to make!


What you'll need:
  • Almond bark or Wilton melting chips
  • Pretzels
  • Sanding sugar or sprinkles
  • Parchment paper
Use pretzel rods to make magic wands for Cinderella themed parties, or regular pretzels for that snowflake look for Frozen themed parties.


Different colored sprinkles make these a great choice for just about any party theme!

Party Snack Ideas - Rainbow Popsicles

Having a Rainbow themed party? These rainbow popsicles are a great treat for summer parties. They're SO pretty, and since they're made of fresh fruit, they won't bring that dreaded sugar crash the way store-bought treats tend to.


Here's what you'll need for each layer:


RED LAYER
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • water or liquid for blending

ORANGE LAYER
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
  • 1/2 cup frozen peaches
  • 1 small orange
  • 1/4 cup frozen mango
  • water or liquid for blending
  •  
YELLOW LAYER
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • water or liquid for blending

GREEN LAYER
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
  • 1 handful (or more) spinach
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • water or liquid for blending

BLUE LAYER
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • small amount of blue food coloring
  • water or liquid for blending

PURPLE LAYER
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • water or liquid for blending

MAGENTA LAYER
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt, vanilla or plain
  • 1/2 cup sliced beets
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries or raspberries

Party Snack Ideas - Rainbow Cake Pops

These inside-out Rainbow Cake Pops are perfect for any Rainbow themed party. They look and taste great and they're surprisingly easy to make.





What you'll need:
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 can of vanilla frosting
  • 1 12-ounce package blue candy melts
  • 1 package of mini m&m's
  • Mini marshmallows (1 for each cake pop)
  • Food coloring pastes (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
  • Block of styrofoam to hold pops while they dry

Party Snack Ideas - Cinderella Macaroons

Have a Cinderella party coming up and want to give your party guests the royal treatment? Dive into decadence with these delicious Cinderella inspired French macaroons. Great for Frozen parties too.


 


 What you'll need for the cookies:
  • 3/4 cup of almond flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 egg whites (room temperature)
  • 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • royal blue gel food coloring
  • pearl dust
Use Lemon Curd and Cream Cheese Buttercream  for filling.
